Karpiscak, Martin
Born in 1945, Martin grew up in in South Bronx and graduated with a Bachelors in Biology from City College University in 1968. Two years later he was offered a teaching assistant job at the University of Arizona as part of his Masters in microbiotics. In Tucson, Martin met Ray Turner and was soon assisting in campsite surveys on the Colorado River in Grand Canyon National Park with the Museum of Arizona.
